Loy Yang B Gas Transmission Pipeline, ENGIE
CNC Project Management was engaged by ENGIE to assist in the update and resubmission of the Loy Yang B Gas Transmission Pipeline Operational Environment Management Plan (OEMP).
Under the Victorian Pipelines Act (2005), a pipeline operator is required to have an OEMP in place to ensure comprehensive environmental management of a pipeline. At the request of the regulator, ENGIE, as operator of the Loy Yang B power station, was required to resubmit its OEMP for the Loy Yang B gas pipeline.
To complete the project, CNC drew on its considerable internal experience to produce a detailed OEMP that described all legislative requirements and guidelines for specific operational activities. These activities include monitoring, impact mitigation, approval conditions and auditing and reporting requirements.
In addition to using its internal experience, CNC drew on the Australian Pipelines and Gas Association’s (APGA) 2013 Code of Environmental Practice and internal data from operator, ENGIE, in order to complete the project.
